As the repression of revolution in Libya continues and oil prices are at a 2.5 year high, Visiting Professor and co-Director of the institute's Executive Master in Oil and Gas Leadership, Giacomo Luciani sheds light on a host of factors affecting the global oil market now and in the long-term in latest audio interview.
Interviewed by Katy Anderson, former BBC correspondent and Institute alumna, Professor Luciani provides his expectations for the trajectory of oil prices. He discusses how much events in Libya really affect the market as well as the role of speculators and that of Saudi Arabia. Giacomo Luciani is Co-Director of the Institute’s Executive Education programme Executive Master in Oil and Gas Leadership. He is also Director or the Gulf Research Center Foundation (Geneva); Adjunct Professor of International Relations at the SAIS Johns Hopkins University Bologna Centre; Visiting Professor at Graduate Institute and Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences-Po (Paris) and Princeton University Global Scholar.
The Executive Education division of the Graduate Institute announced the launch of the oil and gas master programme in October 2010. It is designed to provide management training for company executives and civil servants involved in the governance of the oil and gas sector.
