In 2024, Master student in International and Development Studies with a specialisation in Global Health, Johanna Angeles (now Advocacy Intern at UNFPA) won Pralong Prize for her project "Stitching Hope", which aims to empower street girls in the Philippines who have endured trauma and exploitation.
In 2019, Giulia Barbos (MINT '19; now Human Rights Researcher & Campaigner at Bank Track Netherlands) won CHF 10,000 to fund a project she partnered in called “AMANI: How empowering women can prevent conflict, foster stability and benefit the environment in Baringo County, Kenya”.
In 2016, Jerik Cruz (MINT '16; currently a PhD student at MIT) and Ace Dela Cruz (MINT '17; now an Innovation and Knowledge Management Officer at IOM) were the first Prix Pralong laureate team composed of developing-country nationals.
In 2014, Prakash Pathak (MIE, '15 who accomplished a PhD at the Goethe University in Frankfurt), Vivian Marcelino (MINT '15; now a Senior Programme Manager & Innovation Leader at IBM Brazil) and Taylor Clayton (MINT '15; now a Regional Project Manager at UNEP Jamaica), created a multimedia learning centre and library in Shree Saraswati Higher Secondary School in rural Udiyachaur, Nepal.
Mobilising Peace through Education in Nepal
In 2012, Lyndsey Canham (now a Manager in Capacity Building Strategy at Public Health Ontario) and Sabina Voicu (both MINT '13) partnered with Water Project for Haiti to provide a local solution that would help prevent future sanitation emergencies in Borel, Haiti.
