Professor Leander participates in the 16th Annual Conference of the ESIL2021

On 9 September 2021, Professor Leander participated as a speaker in the 16th Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law (ESIL2021), organized by the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (SCILJ).

Forum 1: the deformalisation of international law 

 

In the context of the 16th Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law (ESIL2021), organized by the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (SCILJ), Professor Anna Leander, Head of the International Relations and Political Science Department, participated as a speaker in the 'Forum 1: the Deformalisation of International Law'.

Moderated by Jean d’Aspremont (Sciences Po, University of Manchester), together with Enzo Cannizzaro (Università Sapienza di Roma) and Conception Escobar Hernandez (member of the International Law Commission), Professor Leander discussed the implications of the deformalisation of International Law, which is striclty linked to its form, and the challenges it might entail.
