Stepping-up to civic responsibilities in the battle against the coronavirus epidemic is an act of courage demonstrated by frontline responders each day. Despite the potential risk of infection, frontline responders continue to put their own safety on the line in order to save the lives of others and protect their communities. In March 2020, for the first time since World War 2, the Swiss army deployed one of its four hospital battalions to support civilian hospitals. What is it like to be a University student one day and in the military the next day? Medical doctors who were part of the 2014 West African Ebola Epidemic response team are once again in the frontline. What are their thoughts and reflections in the time of the coronavirus?
