Ana Balcazar-Moreno, Research Associate - Global Health Centre and Global Governance Centre, is a PhD candidate in International Law and a Tutor of the Global Health Track of the Applied Research Projects and Practice - Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID). Ana is also a member of the European University Institute (EUI) Interdisciplinary Research Cluster Expert Knowledge and Authority in Transformative Times. Her research interests include the laws and practices of international institutions, regime complexity, global governance and multiplicity networks, crises, change, resilience, diversity, equity, capacity-building, and the economic, commercial, social and geo-political determinants of health. She holds an LLB and an LLM in Administrative Law (Universidad del Rosario), an MPS (Sciences Po Lyon), an MA (University of Geneva), and an MIL (IHEID). Ana’s experience combines academic knowledge, applied research teaching and training with extensive legal practice. Her career combines academic expertise, applied research, teaching, training, and an expanding practitioner portfolio, including as a Legal Officer at the World Health Organization and professional engagements with other international institutions and national entities.
