PROFILE
Awet Weldemichael has worked on contemporary history and comparative politics of the Horn of Africa and island Southeast Asia. More recently, I have focused on the conflict dynamics in the countries of the Horn of Africa and their adjoining waters. I am especially working on Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia and Sudan, the Red Sea and the western Indian Ocean.
