Hamidreza is a PhD candidate in Development Economics. He holds master’s degrees in Structural Engineering from University of British Columbia and Urban Studies from Simon Fraser University. In his doctoral research, he employs empirical models to investigate the effect of welfare programs and digitalization on households’ income and expenditure and occupational choices. Hamidreza has extensive experience as an independent consultant with several international organizations, such as the ILO, UNCTAD and UNIDO.
