PROFILE
Ignacio Odriozola is a PhD researcher specialising in International Law. He holds a law degree oriented to International Law from the University of Buenos Aires and a master's degree in Migration and Mobility Studies from the University of Bristol obtained after being awarded the Chevening Scholarship. Ignacio has worked as a legal officer at the Migrants’ Commission within the National Public Defenders Office in Buenos Aires and as a human rights consultant at the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights in Washington DC. He has provided expert opinion to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights and different international, regional and national institutions on issues related to human mobility and international law. His research interests encompass international migration, refugee law, statelessness, nationality law, human rights, and the link between human displacement and climate change, with a particular focus on Latin America.
