Jacob Thornton is a research assistant at the Centre for Digital Humanities and Multilateralism (CDHM), contributing to a project mapping International Geneva from the era of the League of Nations to the present. His master’s thesis focuses on Geneva’s ‘Association Maçonnique Internationale’, examining its contested position within the emerging institutional structures of interwar internationalism.
 
Before joining the Institute, Jacob completed a BA in Philosophy and German at the University of Bristol, including a year abroad studying European politics at the University of Heidelberg and undertaking an internship at the World Future Council in Hamburg.
