Maëlys is a dynamic, flexible and driven young professional with a Master's degree in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Prior to her studies at the Graduate Institute, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Political Science/International Relations at Haverford College, Pennsylvania.

While studying in the US and Geneva, Maëlys has volunteered to help a variety of projects, including the development of an Outreach and Communications strategy to fundraise for a student scholarship at her alma mater, and the organization of events to share academic research at the Graduate Institute.

Coming from a diverse cultural background (French, Austrian, and Vietnamese), Maëlys’ research interests are driven by a desire to understand what factors can contribute to conflicts and violence in order to better promote sustainable peacebuilding methods.
