GUIDOTTI Matteo is a senior lecturer, senior consultant, and senior trainer with over 25 years of experience in international development and not-for-profit, strategic project management, and evaluation. His main areas of competencies are in state-building, decentralization, governance and capacity building; project cycle management (PCM), Results-based Management (RBM), monitoring and evaluation, performance management and change management. His innovative multidisciplinary approach aims at blending knowledge from several disciplines in social, political, project management, foresight, and cognitive sciences.

Matteo holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. A graduate of the University of Neuchâtel, Matteo has a BA in Economics and a BA in Political Sciences. He holds a Master in Public Management and Policy Evaluation (University of Geneva) and a Master in Advanced Developed Studies (The Graduate Institute, Geneva).

He started his career as a researcher at the Laboratory of Applied Economics (LEA - University of Geneva), and he went on working as a senior consultant with Ernst & Young Consulting in the Performance Management Unit. Since 2004 Matteo is also the managing director and owner of MAGI-STER Consulting & Evaluation where he provides consulting services for governments, international organizations, local and international NGOs in Europe, South-East and Central Asia, and Africa.

At The Graduate Institute he lectures in several programs; here is the Director of the program Strategic Project Management for Development (SPMD), the Head of the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) for African English speaking countries, and a Research Associate with the Centre on Conflicts, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP).

Matteo is a member of the Swiss Evaluation Society (SEVAL), of the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS), and a former member of the technical board of the Swiss Italian NGO federation (FOSIT). He is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and certified ADKAR-Prosci Change Manager.
