Stela Rubínová is a senior economist at the World Trade Organization where she focuses on topics related to trade policy, global value chains, and economic development. She regularly contributes to WTO policy reports and collaborations with other international organizations. As trade policy analyst at the OECD's Trade and Agriculture Directorate, Stela was responsible for trade and environmental sustainability research covering fossil fuel subsidies, sustainability impacts of trade agreements and the circular economy. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Canadian Journal of Economics and the Journal of International Economic Law. She holds a PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.
