Tomer Yafeh is a PhD Candidate in Development Economics at the Graduate Institute, Geneva. His research examines the intersection of behavioral economics, finance, and development, with a particular focus on how international capital markets interact with entrepreneurial ecosystems in the Global South.
Before joining the Institute, Tomer completed a Master’s degree in Financial Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Economics, and Politics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His experience spans academic research, public policy, and consulting, including projects involving experimental economics, large-scale startup databases, and data-driven financial models for development finance.
