The Small Arms Survey is a global centre of excellence whose mandate is to generate evidence-based, impartial, and policy-relevant knowledge on all aspects of small arms and armed violence. It is the principal international source of expertise, information, and analysis, and acts as a resource for governments, policy-makers, researchers, and civil society.

The Global Commission on Drug Policy (GCDP) is a panel of world leaders and intellectuals with a Secretariat based at the Graduate Institute. It was established in 2011 to bring to the international level an informed, science-based discussion about humane and effective ways to reduce the harm caused by drugs to people and societies. It builds on the experience of the Latin American Commission on Drugs and Democracy.

With a network of more than 4,000 peacebuilding professionals, the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform facilitates interaction on peacebuilding between different institutions and sectors, advances new knowledge and understanding of issues and contexts related to building peace., and helps build bridges between International Geneva, the United Nations peacebuilding architecture in New York, and peacebuilding activities in the field.

The Bilateral Assistance and Capacity Building for Central Banks (BCC) is a programme jointly funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Graduate Institute, with the purpose of supporting partner central banks in emerging and developing countries in building the analytical and technical expertise required for the efficient conduct of monetary policy. The programme builds on longstanding expertise at the Institute in providing technical assistance through missions in the partner countries tailored to their specific needs. It is built around four poles: Technical Assistance, Peer to Peer, Conference and Research Support.
