PROFILE:
Maria works as a research assistant with the Right of Microbes project, examining legal and governance frameworks that could recognize, respect and account for the intrinsic value and moral standing of microbes; and adequately reflect the interdependency between (and amongst) microbes, other organisms, the environment. She is a PhD Candidate with the International Law department, working on issues of causation in international law and climate change. She has previously assisted the Government of India in international trade disputes and in domestic legislative drafting and has interned with the World Trade Organisation.
