Human rights of migrants

Authors:

2025

The human rights of migrants encompass a range of entitlements and guarantees aimed at ensuring the dignity and safety of people on the move. They are applicable to all migrants, regardless of their nationality, origin, or status. The human rights of migrants are well grounded in international human rights law, through a broad number of general and specialized conventions. Although migrants are clearly recognized as rights holders, they are still suffering from endemic violations, exploitation, and racism.
