PROFILE


Ada is a researcher and journalist specialized in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and International Relations. She holds an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, an MA in International Relations from the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI), and a BA in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

Before starting her PhD, Ada was a Research Assistant at IBEI, focusing on ethnic and religious minorities in the Middle East. Previously, she was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Birmingham, a Junior Research Fellow at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), and a Research Assistant at Georgetown University. She also completed a Political Affairs Internship at the United Nations and a Schuman Traineeship at the European Parliament.

In addition, Ada was the author of a chapter and the coordinator of a book on political Islam, and she has published articles in specialized magazines, newspapers, and online media.

Ada has been awarded with several research and journalistic fellowships and grants, including by Georgetown University, the University of California-Davis and the Henry Luce Foundation, the United Nations Foundation and the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ).
