Filippo Pallotti has been a Macro Strategist (VP) at Lombard Odier since November 2023 and a PhD candidate in Economics at UCL since 2019, where he is scheduled to defend his dissertation in Autumn 2025.
He was a PhD trainee at the European Central Bank (DG Research) in 2022–23 and at the Bank of England (Monetary Policy Strategy Team) in summer 2023. Before starting his PhD, he was a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and a Visiting Student Research Collaborator at Princeton University.
His research interests are in macroeconomics and monetary policy. Methodologically, he works with quantitative HANK models as well as microdata, including large-scale alternative data from fintech platforms with billions of observations.
