Health as a Form of Politics in North India

In his PhD, Robert is studying the Mohalla Clinics in Delhi: publicly funded primary healthcare clinics established in 2015. Specifically, Robert’s PhD work studies the Mohalla Clinics as a site that helps to understand how patients navigate through different primary healthcare services in Delhi. Over an 18 month ethnographic project, his work moves between clinics, government offices, and public spaces, and draws upon literatures in medical and political anthropology to comprehend these sites. In doing so, Robert’s work contributes to understandings of patients' experiences of procuring primary healthcare services and the urban governance of primary healthcare in India.
