Wellbeing Day

Thursday 25 September

Welcome to a new academic year — a fresh chapter filled with opportunities! This moment is more than just a beginning; it’s a seed you’re planting! With curiosity, effort, and care, it will grow into something beautiful — a flower of knowledge, a tree of personal growth, or a garden of lifelong connections.

Every lecture you attend, every challenge you face, and every idea you explore is part of nurturing that seed. So be patient, be persistent, and most of all, believe in the potential of what you’re cultivating.

Here’s to a year of growth, discovery, and blooming into your best self!

We look forward to seeing you during Wellbeing Day at the Institute.

Known for their friendliness and their non-judgmental natures, dogs are naturally de-stressing and are often a source of support, reassurance, and motivation.  A simple cuddle or a petting session can reduce anxiety, with joy and reassurance.

With: Corinne Leboissard + Nawa (golden retriever)
As a teacher with a passion for dogs, Corinne has taken up the challenge of reconciling pedagogy and the well-being that assistance dogs can bring to educational and cultural environments (schools, institutes, libraries, etc.).

Corinne Leboissard is a French teacher specialising in literacy reading and French for non-French speakers, for 27 years. As an animal mediator since 2020, she has been trained in pet therapy for young people, reading in libraries with dogs, animal communication, and canine first aid.

Characteristics and strengths of Nawa: Golden retriever born on 8.3.2020 at the Mazage de Mascayenne kennel in Ariège, France, a kennel specialising in assistance dogs. Well-behaved, stable, confident, gentle, sociable, lively, calm, and playful, she knows her role as a mediator and assistance dog well, being empathetic without letting herself be overwhelmed by other people's emotions.

Dear Future Me…

Write a postcard with three goals for the year ahead. At the end of the year, you will get it back and see how your story unfolded. A simple promise today, a nice surprise tomorrow.

The postcard will be placed in an envelope with your name on it and kept confidentially at the Student Service Office where you can pick it up at the end of the year to reflect on these intentions. It can be seen like a contract or an engagement between you and yourself ;-)
