Marie Thorndahl

Is a Danish painter, living and working in France and Switzerland. Marie Thorndahl favours contemporary portrait painting and drawing. She develops her own technical narrative mixing academic approaches with contemporary processes. She deepens the exploration of the human body and nature by engaging her figurative paintings with social and political issues. Marie is an active member of Visarte-Switzerland, the
visual artists society and of the Atelier d’académie de Ferney-Voltaire (France).

‘...her figurative paintings explore the human body, gender, social and political issues. In her paintings there is a deep analysis of the society, where the human being, animals and plants are the main protagonist of her work...’
Gladys Pinedo, 2021
