“We need to return to the question of the spatial structure of the city… to promote democracy, and to eliminate spatial inequalities". Bernardo Secchi, ‘La città dei ricchi e la città dei poveri’.
The Bernardo Secchi Working Seminar aims to foster dialogue between scholars, professionals and stakeholders on the relations between social equality/inequality, ecological sustainability and the spatial attributes of the urban areas, according to three questions:
- Sustainable and inclusive economy: how does its implementation interact with the built realm?
- Environmentally responsible government: how can architectural and urban space become one of its strategic fields of exercise?
- Urban Age and planetary equilibrium: how can we orient emerging architectural, urban and landscape strategies for an innovative management of resources?
