When rescue becomes a legal and operational challenge
On 17 February, the Foundation for Humanitarian Action at Sea (FHAS) will present its latest report, Double jeopardy, at the Geneva Graduate Institute.
The report examines the legal and policy challenges faced by commercial vessels conducting rescue operations.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.
This event is organised in collaboration with the Master in International and Development Studies (MINT). Within the framework of their current Applied Research Project (ARP), conducted with FHAS, the students Emma Santin, Sabrina Casale, Martina Maestri and Malena Katsiampoula will discuss their project on "Law and Policy of Maritime Migration: The Role of Commercial Shipping" and present their questions to the panelists in the general discussion.
