As you may already know, the Collectif de la Grève Féministe is organising the annual Feminist Strike on June 14th in Geneva.
This year, similarly to the Feminist Strike of 2019, the collective is organizing a labour strike, bringing to the forefront feminist issues including: equal pay, the fight against sexual harassment, sexist discriminations, a reduction of working hours, and parental leave.
The Collectif, together with trade unions, are encouraging people to organize in their places of work and education, to reflect collectively on the feminist demands that apply in their own institutions, and to bring those demands forward to the platform of the Feminist Strike.
As such, at the Geneva Graduate Institute, the 'Coordination Team for the Feminist Strike' (including the Feminist Collective, the Gender Centre, and ADA the Assistants' Association,) invites you and your collective/association/initiative to join the coordination team and the organization of the feminist strike at IHEID.
The purpose of this 1st meeting is to bring together different communities at the Institute, bring forward the feminist issues that affect each of our collectives, share the work that we have all been doing on different topics, and identify the cross-cutting themes that we can prioritize as we organize in view of the Feminist Strike.
