Trade Data in Action: A Conversation with UNCTAD on the Tariff Dashboard

The Geneva Graduate Institute is pleased to host a special session with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Innovation and Research Coordination Unit to explore their Tariff Dashboard, a powerful analytical tool for trade and tariff data widely used in research, policy analysis, and academia.

This event offers students, faculty and researchers from the Sustainable Trade & Finance (STF) and International Economics tracks a unique opportunity to discover how UNCTAD collects, analyses and visualizes global tariff data; to understand the Dashboard’s methodology, functionalities and practical applications; and to engage directly with UNCTAD experts in a Q&A session.

 

Speakers from UNCTAD:

  • Carlos Razo, Senior Coordinator, Technical team, UNCTAD Innovation and Research Coordination Unit
  • Swati Sharma, Associate Economic Affairs Officer, UNCTAD Innovation and Research Coordination Unit

Through this interactive presentation and discussion, participants will gain deeper insight into the challenges and opportunities in trade data analysis and into how policy-relevant research tools like the Dashboard can inform academic work, international trade studies, and future policy design contributing to informed debate and strengthening the connection between the Institute community and international organizations based in Geneva.

  • Any members of the Institute community interested in data-driven tools for global trade analysis

 

Admission: 

Free and open to the Institute community. As most Institute events, registration is encouraged through this link but not required,  seating is first-come, first-served. We encourage arriving 15 minutes before the start time.
