A Fiscal (R)Evolution?

The Open Economics initiative at IHEID focuses on opening interdisciplinary discussions around socioeconomic topics among students, faculty and experts.

Open Economics, in collaboration with the student-led think tank Foraus Geneva, is organising the event "A Fiscal (R)Evolution?: The OECD/G20 Tax Reform", which features a workshop on November 12th, 2021 and a panel discussion on November 16th, 2021 about the ongoing discussion for global corporate taxation and its impact on governments, companies, the environment and society.

To discuss the reform, Foraus Geneva and Open Economics have organised a panel discussion at 6-8 pm on November 16th in the Amphitheater (Grand Morillon Residence) with leading experts featuring:

Ms. Piritta Sorsa, Head of Division, OECD Economic Department
Dr. Xavier Oberson, Professor in Swiss and International Tax Law at the University of Geneva
Mr. David Staubli, Economist at the Swiss Federal Tax Administration and Lecturer in Tax Policy at the University of Fribourg

Professor Cédric Tille will introduce the reform and its fundamentals before beginning the panel discussion which will be moderated by Mr. Frédéric Lelièvre, Director of AGEFI - Nouvelle Agence Economique et Financière.

The related workshop leading up to the discussion will be held at 4-6 pm on November 12th in the IHEID Library.
