Professor MONSUTTI's work at the IWM in Vienna.

Professor Alessandro Monsutti of Anthropology and Sociology at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies is spending a semester the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM).

Professor Alessandro MONSUTTI spends the autumn semester at the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (IWM), in Vienna. During his stay, he is working on his main current research project on the changing nature of the border between Italy and Slovenia (ex-Yugoslavia). He is also preparing with artist Carlo Vidoni an exhibition entitled Destiny_Destination evoking migrant trajectories with photographs, drawings, audio records. He is also pursuing his long-term interest on Afghanistan with a methodological reflexion on conducting ethnographic research in situations of conflict and forced displacement.
