David B. Evans is a consultant with the World Bank Health Financing Global Solutions Group. Specializing in health economics and health financing, he is best known for his work as lead author of World Health Report 2010 "Health systems financing: the path to universal coverage" undertaken when he was the Director of Health Systems Financing and Governance at WHO. David was previously Director of the Global Programme on Evidence for Health Policy in WHO, focusing on the assessment of health system performance and the generation, analysis and application of evidence for health policy. He has also been an academic in Australia, Singapore and Switzerland, with more than 200 publications.
