Marianna Fenzi obtained in 2017 her PhD in History of Sciences at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. In 2018, she joined Prof. Miguel Altieri's group as a visiting scholar at the University of California Berkeley. Marianna Fenzi is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Lausanne and at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. Combining archival research and sociohistorical analysis with field investigation, her research focuses on the history of international agricultural research, food systems and the Green Revolution. Her main interest is in farmers’ management of crop diversity and its relationship with scientific approaches, debates, and narratives around agricultural transformations across countries in both the global South and North.
