Refugee Scholarship Recipient Maiwen Ngaleuth Creates NGO to Give Refugees a Voice

Maiwen Dot Pheot Ngaleuth came to Switzerland as a refugee from South Sudan. He began his Master in International Affairs at the Geneva Graduate Institute after having worked nearly a decade in the humanitarian sector. He was also the recipient of the Graduate Institute's 2019-2020 Refugee Scholarship.

As his time at the Institute comes to a close and he sets off on a new professional journey – building the Refugees Advocacy Network, or R.A.N., an NGO aiming to bring refugee voices to the fore of international affairs – he wanted to take a moment to thank the Institute for giving him the opportunity to study here to then use the knowledge and perspectives he gained to give back to the international community and other refugees like himself.
