Funding organisation: Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD)

Project Description

This project is a research collaboration between the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).

The aims and outputs of this collaboration are threefold:

First, the CCDP was tasked with producing a key stakeholder methodology for an EU Arms and Ammunition Management Validation System. This product was delivered at the end of July 2021.

Second, the CCDP is currently supporting the Ammunition Management Advisory Team (AMAT), which is part of the GICHD, in developing a knowledge sharing platform on ammunition management assistance capacities, resources and needs which includes all state and non-state actors active in conventional ammunition management.

Third, the CCDP will develop a Background Country Report template for AMAT so that the team can use this report to report on ammunition activities around the world.
