Respect and Living Together

What does respect look like at our Institute?

From daily interactions to classroom dynamics, respect holds different meanings for different people. To explore this, the GISA Welfare Committee, in collaboration with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiative, launched a campaign centered on student voices. Through surveys and face-to-face conversations, we gathered reflections from across our diverse community to gain a deeper understanding of when people feel truly seen and valued.

This input has shaped a campaign designed to spark dialogue and reflection. Starting mid-September, you will see posters across campus featuring powerful quotes and portraits of students sharing what respect means to them. Short video clips on Instagram will further amplify these voices, inviting all of us to reflect on the norms, assumptions, and gestures that define respect in a multicultural setting.

This is not just a campaign. It is a conversation. And you are part of it.
