EECA INTERACT Virtual Workshop, 12pm CET

The first EECA INTERACT workshop, hosted in Kazakhstan in 2019, brought together clinicians, policy-makers and civil society representatives from the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region to share knowledge about the epidemiology, treatment, pathogenesis and prevention of HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis C virus, and harm reduction initiatives. This year’s live virtual event will serve as a preliminary workshop to the 2022 symposium. The discussion will share experiences of effective integrated and people-centred care for HIV, TB, and overdose prevention services as a key element of the strategy for HIV, TB and hepatitis in the EECA region. Accurate data collection processes are critical to ensure a better understanding of the real distribution of behavioral risks and epidemic threats within key populations. This event will also explore new approaches for data collection to support strategic planning for HIV, TB, and hepatitis services in the region, and highlight the positive impact of post-COVID-19 innovation on HIV, TB, hepatitis, and harm reduction services. ВЕЦА INTERACT — это научный семинар, посвященный вопросам ВИЧ, туберкулеза и гепатитов в регионе Восточной Европы и Центральной Азии (ВЕЦА). В ходе первой сессии будет обсуждаться эффективная комплексная и ориентированная на пациента помощь при ВИЧ, туберкулезе, гепатитах и профилактике передозировок. Процесс сбора точных данных является ключевым элементом для понимания реального распределения поведенческих рисков и эпидемических угроз среди ключевых групп населения. В ходе второй сессии будут обсуждаться новые подходы к сбору данных для обеспечения устойчивого стратегического планирования услуг по ВИЧ, ТБ и гепатитов в Восточной Европе и Центральной Азии на следующие несколько лет. Заключительная сессия будет направлена на обсуждение того, как регион был затронут SARS-CoV-2, и тех инновационных изменений, которые произошли в предоставлении услуг.
