The Swiss Lab for Sustainable Finance (SL4SF) would like to invite you to the online launch of its report entitled "Sustainability and Impact Measurement and Reporting: Evidence from a Benchmarking Study", co-authored with researchers from the Geneva Finance Research Institute, and the International Finance Corporation. The event is co-hosted by Sustainable Finance Geneva.

The report assesses the need for impact measurement and reporting standards by benchmarking the existing quality of ESG and impact reporting of 30 non-financial firms and 30 impact investors for comprehensiveness, transparency, materiality/intentionality, and other criteria.

SPEAKERS

 

  • Marie-Laure Salles (opening remarks) is Director of the Geneva Graduate Institute. Before joining the Institute, she was Dean of the School of Management and Innovation at Sciences Po Paris, a school she launched in 2016. Before that, she was Professor at ESSEC Business School, where she was also, in turn, Dean of the Faculty and Associate Dean for the PhD Programme.
  • Karen Wilson (moderator) is the founder of GV Partners, a research and consulting firm focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and finance for sustainable development. She has also spent years working in the OECD on impact investment and been part of the senior management team at World Economic Forum.
  • Prof. Patrick Bolton (speaker) is Professor of Finance and Economics at Imperial College London. He has previously taught at Columbia University and is the Chair of the SL4SF Scientific Advisory Board.
  • Prof. Rajna Gibson Brandon (speaker) is Professor of Finance at the University of Geneva and Director and President of the Foundation Board of the Geneva Institute for Wealth Management. In her other capacities, she is also a Member of the SNB Bank Council.
  • Dr. Camilo Mondragón-Vélez (speaker) is a Principal Research Economist and Head of the IFC Modeling Team under the organization’s Development Impact Unit since early 2015. He leads a team of economists in designing and implementing frameworks and economic models to assess and quantify the development impact of IFC and private sector interventions ex-ante.
  • Maria Teresa Zappia (speaker) is Deputy CEO at BlueOrchard, where she is responsible for the firm’s blended finance mandates and their impact management practices. Previously, she was based out of London and Tashkent in her work on developing small business finance for the EBRD.
