The Geneva Graduate Institute Rallies around the Geneva Peace Forum with a Focus on Leadership for Peace

A founding partner of Geneva Peace Week, launched in 2014 as a flagship initiative of the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform together with its five partner organisations, the Geneva Graduate Institute remains a committed supporter of this unique platform for dialogue. At a time of growing global uncertainty, its mission is more relevant than ever. In 2026, Geneva Peace Week enters a new chapter as the Geneva Peace Forum.

This year's official programme features several members of the Institute community. Director Marie-Laure Salles will take part in both the opening and closing ceremonies. Paola Gaeta, Professor of International Law, will contribute to a discussion on the relationship between peace and justice. Sara Hellmüller, Research Professor of International Relations/Political Science and newly appointed Co-Director of the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP), will participate in two sessions on peace mediation. Eliza Urwin, Head of Research at the CCDP, will also contribute to a panel on humanitarian diplomacy and peace processes.

Alongside the Geneva Peace Forum, the Institute's research centres, platforms and initiatives are organising a series of events at Maison de la paix, around the common theme of Leadership for Peace. Discover them below and register to attend.
