CDHM Visiting fellows

The CDHM launched its Visiting Fellows programme in 2024 to collaborate with diverse and relevant interdisciplinary experts and to increase access and exposure among the Geneva Graduate Institute student, faculty and wider international community to various modalities of digital humanities and multilateralism in practice.

At a time when archives’ digitised data no longer necessitates researchers and other audiences to travel to ensure access, it is essential that archive-focused institutions reconfigure policies for welcoming researchers from a wide range of disciplines (international law, history, sociology, political science, economics, but also performative arts, literature, and others) so that arriving on site continues to encourage in-person writing, ideas exchange, comparison of methodologies of analysis and new perspectives on the archive.

Since the programme’s launch, the CDHM has welcomed 7 Fellows, and counting, across the disciplines of international history, computational social science, artificial intelligence and data science, theatre, documentary and feature film, to teach courses, conduct archival research, launch projects, host workshops, lead visual performances, contribute to events and master classes, and engage in collaborations within CDHM, including with other Fellows, on longstanding and emerging issues in the Digital Humanities.
