Agathe Le Vaslot explored knowledge production and governmentality in the design and early implementation of the Upper Baram Forest Conservation Project in Sarawak, Malaysia. Her research was awarded the 2023 Geneva-Asia Association Prize.

This research cluster gathers two Graduate Institute's thematics: “Environment & the Anthropocene” and “Sustainability & SDGs”. “Environment & the Anthropocene” is dedicated to environmental governance and diplomacy, energy and extractive industries, as well as corporate liabilities and sustainable development, while “Sustainability & SDGs” notably deals with economic, environmental and social challenges, SDGs and their history, a critical exploration of agenda 2030, sustainability and resilience.
